Was so looking forward to our Ubin trip today....a pity li ying couldnt join us at e last min..=(
It has really been centuries since we last boarded e boat at Changi jetty...so much dat we didnt noe e new terminal was opened already and we still happily headed to e old one....
Its serious matter man...they even have policeman stationed @ e new terminal, still have ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE HALL lor...cant believe it..haha!...

The boat trip there was alright just dat we were perspiring like mad on e way b4 we could even reach there....and we juz looked like morons to e ppl opp us on the boat coz we were taking pics like nobody's business....esp e guy opp mabel & I...haha!!...=P
On e boat...
Ok...this was really funny to me coz we were gg to cycle in Ubin but we juz look like we r going to the beach @ sentosa or something...happily took out time to apply sun block lotion then sprayed mosquito repellent...and dat mabel...my goodness!...happily sprayed like it was some heavenly thing....dont noe how many layers of dat repellent she has on her skin, her skin juz looks so shiny *ding ding*!!..i think even b4 e mosquitos can suck her blood, all of them would have a wishy washy slide down her arms and legs...hahah!!!...(fyi, i m not exaggerating, it really was shiny!..)
After all dat, we finnaly went to rent our bikes, it was DAMN cheap, juz $5 for e whole day. Ok, and coz hmmmm....due to mq's height she had to settle for a not really nice looking bike according to her and which doesnt assists her in riding up those many slopes they have in Ubin....poor her...so much energy she had to give!...

Really lurve this pic...e coconut trees r standing SOOOO TALL...wonder y they dont ever break...or even bend at all...
We cycled till i ran out of my water and everyone was just dying of thirst, so our motivation was to cycle back to the 'rest area' to get drinks and rest.
We sat, drinked, took numerous pics and chatted with e uncle there...It was just so relaxing, with e fan and e oldies playing in e background, it was juz e right atmosphere for some black N white pics....=)

After much reluctance, we proceeded on and saw this Giant lizard which sort of scared jim for awhile...
We passed-by this house and decided to go check it out after permission from its owner....and we saw an OSTRICH!!!!...in Ubin...yes, in Ubin, wat e hell is it doing there???

and then we saw these 2 uncles removing the hair out from this dead wild boar i guess....mq juz wanted to get out asap when she saw this....
Oh, but not everything was bad...they had some really very nice & colourful flowers at their gate..mabel & I tot it was really lovely!..=)

After dat, we cycled to this dead-end where u could see e sea, mabel & mq was very tired so they wanted to take a rest whilst jim and I ventured further in.....
then we saw a wild boar which a family was apparently rearing...

Finally at 5pm, we decided it was enough ( partly coz our legs and bum could not take it anymore). We made our way back to e jetty...& had dinner at Changi village ..=P
