2 assignments/projects down...AND 6 more to go!! yea......*rolls eyes*
(this was a gentle reminder from adine..haha!)
Oh man!..one after the other and its never gonna stop till the sch term closes. If its in TP, its still alright, but its quite different now!
To get a bloody individual assignment done, firstly we got to go to the library to snatch books, but most of the time there is nothing left to snatch..dats how competitive it is in uni.
The books get wiped out really fast man!..(pauline suggested dat we should already start borrowing our books for our masters next time..haha!..)
SOOOoooo..the 7 of us got ourselves landed in the national library. As e books we need all cant be borrowed, we landed ourselves right in front of the photocopiers, and we werent just copying a few books, it was tonnes of books!..so much dat it was so embarrasing as we were holding up the queue..so we ended up upgrading ourselves, moving from the 7th floor to the 8th floor and then to the 9th floor!
(and i think in total we spent $56 on photocopying alone)
and then adine said: "i have never gone through so many books at one shot before and have never worked so hard before in my entire life"..haha!..dat really made me laugh..
At Tp when we say plagarism..we will go like yar ok, just add in a bibliography pg wif just a few books for 'yi si yi si' only..but here its serious matter man!...
no more just for 'yi si yi si'..its for real. and when in any point when u r writing and you've got to use what's in the book, u jolly well got to infer/reference e book Right BESIDE the sentence or ideas u took from the book...like (Collis and Hussey, 2003, p.188)
dats y u got to have many books coz u cant be using the same ideas from the same author over and over again..if not u r gonna have (Collis and Hussey, 2003) all over ur assignment and dat is bad..coz it means u do not read further then ur textbk..so in e end we end up with so many different authors all over our assignment.
and oh ya, the order you reference ur books in the reference/biblio pg is damn impt too...it must really be in the right order and all..coz e bloody hell referencing already takes up 30% of the total project marks..dtas how serious they r!
Alright alright...i know i have been going on and on and on bout referencing..and its boring but well, i cant help it coz its been hammered into my head over and over again for the past few weeks!
